A Magnificent Ramadan Festival and Iftar Gathering on March 21st

On the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, we organized a special iftar program reflecting the spirit of unity and sharing during the holy month of Ramadan. During this meaningful evening, we brought together children with Down syndrome and their families, as well as children who became orphans in the February 6 earthquakes and their foster families, around the same table. Together, we created an unforgettable evening.

The program, organized to raise social awareness and strengthen the bonds of love and solidarity, was attended by renowned artist Reynmen, Radio 7 program producer Talha Bora Öge, Director of the Regional Foundations Ertuğrul Tunç, Member of Parliament for Kahramanmaraş Dr. İrfan Karatutlu, our volunteers, and numerous esteemed guests.

🎤 Reynmen spent joyful time with the children, bringing smiles to their faces, while Talha Bora Öge and his stage team added color to the evening with their impressive performances. This special evening, organized in line with the spirituality of Ramadan, brought emotional and hopeful moments to all of us.

“A Day of Unity, Love, and Solidarity”

In the opening speech, our Vice President of the Foundation, Ayşe Yiğiter, emphasized our foundation’s core mission, sharing the following words:

“Today, we have gathered here to experience the spirit of unity and sharing during Ramadan together. As Hayat Yeniden Education and Culture Foundation, supporting disadvantaged groups and raising awareness in society are among our top priorities. This iftar program is a small but very valuable step to show that we stand by our special children and orphans who lost their parents after the earthquake.”

Our Foundation President, Zeynep Nur Yerhan, also spoke about the profound meaning of the event, saying:

“Sharing the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood during Ramadan with our children with Down syndrome, orphaned children from the earthquake, and their families is invaluable to us. This iftar is not just a meal gathering; it is one of the most beautiful examples of love, understanding, and social solidarity. The smiles on the faces of our children give us hope and strength.”

A Strong Message of Social Solidarity

Dr. İrfan Karatutlu, Member of Parliament for Kahramanmaraş, also made meaningful remarks during the evening:

“It is very valuable that Hayat Yeniden Education and Culture Foundation is hosting such a meaningful event in terms of raising social awareness and solidarity. The atmosphere created for our children with Down syndrome and those affected by the earthquake reminds all of us of our responsibilities. As a society, we must unite even more and build stronger tomorrows together.”

A Joyful and Colorful Evening for the Children

Throughout the event, we organized various social and fun activities for the children. With face painting, play corners, stage shows, and surprise gifts, this special night left unforgettable marks in everyone’s hearts.

As Hayat Yeniden Education and Culture Foundation, we believe in the power of social solidarity and continue to work with all our strength to build a stronger, more empathetic, and inclusive society through similar events. On this journey, we aim to bring hope, love, and support to the lives of disadvantaged children.
